Buyers of Long Beach Township real estate will find that each of these communities have their own distinctive character. Long Beach Township is the largest of the six Long Beach Island municipalities and it covers twelve of the eighteen miles. Like most of the municipalities on Long Beach Island, Long Beach Township has its own police department, public works and beach patrol. Residents of Long Beach Township send their children to the Ethel Jacobsen Elementary School in Surf City or the Long Beach Island grade school in Ship Bottom, both schools are part of Long Beach Island Consolidated School district which is a kindergarten through sixth grade district. Older children attend middle or high school over the bridge in Manahawkin at Southern Regional Middle School or High School.
The communities within Long Beach Township are mainly residential with most commercial activity; professional offices, grocery and convenience stores, banks, restaurants and amusements located on Long Beach boulevard, the main thoroughfare that runs north to south the length of Long Beach Island. Communities such as North Beach and Loveladies on the north end of LBI and Haven Beach, The Dunes and Holgate on the island’s south end offer Long Beach Township more solitude with little or none commercial activity. Other Long Beach Township communities like Beach Haven Terrace and Brighton Beach are more active offering restaurants, convenience stores, ice cream shops, and nightlife within walking distance.

Also included are shore capes, beach cottages, raised ranches contemporary homes. Long Beach Township offers buyers a wide range of properties that will meet every buyer’s budget. Access to the beach and bay in the communities of Loveladies and North Beach is typically deed only and there limited public access.
